The Democratic Republic of Congo is a country with a tropical climate, fertile soils, abundant water resources and favorable conditions for coffee cultivation.

Robusta is mainly grown and produced at 900 m above sea level in the northeast of Congo.

An unusual specialty for coffee enthusiasts

Due to its ideal geographical conditions, Congo can produce Arabicas and Robustas of very high quality.

The state, located in Central Africa, is one of the most important coffee-growing countries.

The Coffea Congensis variety, also known as Congo coffee, is a wild Robusta coffee variety that was discovered and cultivated in the Congo. Production is in the hands of around 8,000 small farmers. 80% of it is transported by truck to Mombasa, from where it is shipped out.

It is revered by coffee lovers for its mild acidity and excellent crema (foam).

Wird es den Kongo bald wieder geben?

Vielen Dank für dein Interesse an unserem Single Origin Kaffee aus dem Kongo. Wir erwarten die nächste Lieferung der Rohkaffeebohnen im März, kurz danach sollte es wieder röstfrischen Kongo Robusta geben. Dürfen wir in der Zwischenzeit als Alternative vielleicht unseren Cherry Robusta empfehlen?
